Responsiblities
The Associate Executive Director for Policy and Research advises the Assembly Majority Office staff and assists Assembly Democratic legislators by crafting, evaluating, researching and coordinating public policy initiatives.
Mr. White serves as the Democratic Aide to the Assembly Regulated Professions and State Government committees.
Background
Keith White has served in the Assembly Majority Office since May 2005.
Prior to that, Mr. White spent seven years working for Rutgers University. He was appointed director of the Rutgers Trenton Academic Center in 2000, acting as the University’s representative for academic programs that serve New Jersey state government. Prior to his Rutgers appointment, he assisted the dean of the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy with the establishment of public policy research centers.
The son of an Office of Legislative Services staffer, Mr. White has spent the better part of his life in jobs related to state government policy making. He has held previous positions with the New Jersey Business and Industry Association and the New Jersey Association of Counties.
Mr. White also has served in policy and research positions for senatorial, gubernatorial and county executive campaigns in New Jersey.
Education
Mr. White holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and masters degrees from the Graduate School of Political Management and the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
